Brake.
1...2...3 shifts down and blip the throttle as I ease out the
clutch, setting up for the right-hand corner after the straight-away.
I counter steer into the turn as I shift weight to the inside
peg, letting the bike roll on it's axis as I lightly drag the
brakes, trail braking, deep into the corner. In less than a
few seconds you've turned a half dozen movements into one flowing
motion. Everything seems to go quiet as I reach the apex of
the corner and the bike approaches full lean....the only sound
to be heard is your knee gently skimming the asphalt.
There
are few sensations that compare with this. This is why I ride.
